Why do Some People Make It In Network Marketing and Others Don't?

Why do Some People Make It In Network Marketing and Others Don't?


 Recently I was listening to an interview with Frank Kern, the Internet Guru, and he was talking about why most people don't make it in Internet Marketing. It occurred to me the reasons he referenced could also be applied to network marketing as well.



So why don't people make it in network marketing? . . .
1) Some Never Start. In some cases, after a person signs up and receives a distributor kit, they simply forget about buying the kit and never actually make the commitment to start working their businesses as a business. Some people might never actually book one single party, or if they do get around to booking a party, they never get around to booking another one. Or, sometimes a person has great intentions about starting but somehow finds something else which takes priority. Also, many people are just plain scared to start a business and never actually take part in the the most important task in network marketing . . . talking to people.

2) Some Might Start and Then Hit an Obstacle and Quit. Anyone who starts a business, anywhere, in any field, will at some point face an obstacle. It's a given. At this point, a person must decide if he or she will continue running the business or quit. It's no different in network marketing and direct sales. The real difference between those who make it in network marketing and those who don't are simple: the types of thoughts a person has when facing an obstacle and how a person reacts to a setback is the sole determining factor between successful network marketing businesses and ones which never get off the ground.

Remember . . . thoughts determine whether we make it or not. Nothing else.

A person who won't make it will always think:

"This is never going to work."
"I'm no good at this."
"People aren't interested in this product."
"My timing is bad."
"The economy is bad."
"This is too much work."

A person who makes it will always think:

"How could I have avoided this?"
"How can I improve my business so this doesn't happen again?"
"What have I learned from this?"
"That was a fluke."
"One little bump in the road isn't going to stop me!"
"What good came out of this situation?"

Obstacles and challenges are a natural part of doing business and the unsuccessful network marketer, who focuses on setbacks as a way to justify quitting or stopping short, will never fully understand what a fantastic opportunity was sitting right there in their own laps.

On the other hand, the successful network marketer will seize the opportunity to start their own business, get to the top of their organizations, and confidently see everything through to the end no matter the obstacle or setback.

We don't have to do too much to be successful. It really is easy to make it!

We just have to . . .

* Start. This might sound too simple . . . and it is . . . but it's the most important step you'll ever make!

* Think differently about obstacles. Accept challenges as a normal part of business.

* Use setbacks to your advantage and think to yourself . . . . "How can I make money on this?"

* Keep going. And follow it through to the end.
