Sales Tips

This is by no means a complete list of ideas, and not all original to me.  It is growing, work in progress as I and others find new ways to reach out to potential customers.

  1. Use your Avon business card as a bookmark when reading Library books, and always be sure to leave it in the book when you return it.
  2. Hang flyers and books (using the What's New bags) on the hooks on the back of bathroom stall doors.
  3. Post flyers and your business cards, even a few What's New bags with brochures, on public bulletin boards.
  4. Keep brochures in your purse and give them to at least 2 new people a day.
  5. Advertise by wearing Avon makeup, perfume, jewelry and attire, and when complimented on any of those, give a brochure  so they too can purchase great products!
  6. Use your social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter etc) to promote YOU!  Shameless self promotion of your online store is a great way to find new customers.
  7. Talk to friends about hosting an eParty.  No mess to clean up, no food to prepare, they simply promote their party with the link, to all of their friends and family.  Offer a great hostess gift of free Avon.
  8. Car magnets, window clings and bumper stickers promoting your Avon store.
  9. Re-canvass areas every 3rd campaign.  If you had no luck  in a neighborhood, wait 3 campaigns then throw your brochures again.  In 6 weeks time lots of things can change in people's lives.
  10. Leave your brochures at local businesses, especially 'bulky' ones (stick samples between pages that correspond to the perfumes/colognes on those pages!
  11. Buy an inexpensive locker caddy (a magnetic metal or plastic 'pocket') and put brochures in it and stick it to your car when out shopping! Another rep shared this idea with me, here is a picture:
